On October 6, the Thuringian Center for Mechanical Engineering, together with the Thuringian ClusterManagement of LEG Thuringian, invites you to the 5th Thuringian Mechanical Engineering Day in Erfurt at COMCENTER Brühl. The theme of the event this year: “Resource efficiency and sustainability in production”. The opening keynote address will be given by Ulrich Sendler.

The organizers want to give visitors a comprehensive insight into the current state of application-oriented research and development for the manufacturing industry on the topic. The focus is on the transfer of practical results of projects with and for SMEs and the presentation of application examples for industrial use.

The Thuringian Center for Mechanical Engineering and the Thuringian ClusterManagement of LEG Thuringian invite participants to contribute their own experiences and ideas, to discuss the future of mechanical engineering with their peers and to initiate appropriate activities.

In addition to taking away important insights, the organizers promise sustainable impulses for everyday practice.
Ulrich Sendler, founder of the Central European initiative for a Digital Industry Circle, has titled his keynote: “Intangible value creation – How sustainable business works in the manufacturing industry”. Digitalization is the big challenge for small and medium-sized enterprises in particular, which he believes they can only master by working together and networking. At the same time, he sees precisely here the great opportunity to set a global brand for sustainable business models that focus on the connected product as the basis for new services.
